This workshop will provide a hands on approach to MIG welding (GMAW) from experienced instructor, Christian Asencio. You will cover MIG welding basics including machine use, consumables and the welding process as well as proper PPE. If you’re completely new to welding or need a solid, thorough review, this class is for you! Duration: 3 hours
Provided items: gloves, welding hood, safety glasses, welding shirt, equipment and material
Required items: closed toe shoes preferably boots, natural fiber clothing: long sleeve shirt & pants ie cotton/linen NO SYNTHETICS ie polyester/spandex
Please bring a water bottle. Snacks will also be provided.

Learn about making and using project specific tools, proper hammering technique and how to use the anvil and forge. If you’re completely new to blacksmithing or need a solid, thorough review, this class is for you! You will leave with a new skill and a handmade bottle opener. Duration: 4 hours *Beginner Blacksmithing workshop is required to take the Knife Making workshop

This workshop will provide a hands-on approach to bladesmithing from experienced blacksmith, Christian Asencio. Learn how to make a “blacksmiths” knife using project specific tools and equipment. Additionally you will learn: metal-movement basics, the heat treatment process, grinding/sanding simple edge geometry and sharpening/up keep of your blade.
If you’re completely new to blacksmithing or need a solid, thorough review, this class is for you! You will leave with a new skill and a handmade steel knife. Duration: 4 hours *Beginner Blacksmithing workshop is required to take the Knife Making workshop
